"The need was to have a dining chair for a small quirky space and the solution was to be the same, a small quirky stool called Pew.
Pew is an elegantly considered stool with a foot detail to match the idiosyncrasies of the original room. The rocking foot allows the diner to sit actively forward or relax backwards doing so in a single fluent motion. These motions allow the user to naturally engage and interact in the dining experience by taking postures that have previously not been designed for. The Pew rocking stool, through use, grew to a range of three stools that all offer the user a different sitting experience - rocking, perching and stationary. The Pew perching stool allows the diner to perch actively forward offering the same benefits as the rocking stool but controls the movement by indexing it forward and flat.
The Pew stationary stool completes the range by offering a contemporary static stool. The main surfaces of the Pew range are made from sustainably sourced American White Oak and the single structural detail is made from Kwila, again sustainably sourced."
